Meet the dentistsDefinitely recommend! Everyone there was super friendly and made me feel very comfortable! Great service and atmosphere!
As proud members of the Dyer community, we want to support our neighbors and nearby families as much as possible. So, in addition to the services, we offer at our dental office, we also volunteer at local elementary schools and send care packages to our troops through Operation Gratitude. Is there another worthy cause that you think could use our help? Reach out to us today to let us know!
Get Involved with UsYou’re always welcome to call our office if you have any questions or concerns about your oral health, but we know that sometimes it’s nice to also get quick, simple answers! We’ve pooled together some of the most frequently asked questions we get at Advanced Dental Concepts, and below, you’ll find our responses. Give them a readthrough if you’d like, and feel free to explore our website further.
For problems like a severe toothache, broken dental work or natural teeth, bleeding gums, or having a hazardous object stuck between your pearly whites, we recommend contacting our office to request an emergency dental appointment. Our team can guide you through any necessary first-aid over the phone and help you schedule a visit – we’ll try to see you the same day if at all possible!
In the event of a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 immediately. Our office is well-equipped to handle various urgent oral issues, but we can’t administer life-saving care and don’t have access to ambulances.
Finding a cosmetic dentist near you can be tricky. Unlike other specialties that have specific qualifications and designations, almost any dentist could be considered a “cosmetic dentist.”
If you want to make sure you’ll receive high-quality dental cosmetics, we recommend looking for someone who has completed advanced training in the treatment you’re considering, or is affiliated with a notable organization, such as the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Our very own Dr. Hayes is a member of the AACD, and you can read more about his experience as a dentist and what the AACD is in his bio.
Yes – you certainly can receive dental sedation at Advanced Dental Concepts! Dr. Hayes has completed continuing education courses for dental sedation and can administer oral conscious sedation or nitrous oxide (laughing gas). Which one is right for you will depend on factors such as your level of anxiety or discomfort, and your health history. Because of this, we encourage patients to call our office in advance for a consultation.
Believe it or not, some types of sleep apnea can be treated with an oral sleep appliance! Obstructive sleep apnea, for example, occurs when the airway is “obstructed” by soft tissue or an improper bite alignment. This makes it difficult for your body to receive oxygen while lying down for bed, so your brain pulls you out of deep sleep, interrupting your rest.
By examining your mouth and designing a custom oral sleep appliance, we can essentially move obstructions out of the way, allowing you to breathe more freely and rest more fully!
